Home Delivered Meal Program

SWIRCA & More provides 700 lunch site and home delivered meals every day that are prepared, cooked, and delivered from our own kitchen.

The Home Delivered Meal Program provides hot meals during the noon hour in Vanderburgh, Posey, Warrick, Perry, Spencer and Gibson counties. There are sixteen home delivered meal routes.

Meals are delivered Monday- Friday.

Meals are packaged in a tray with a film top. They can be placed in a microwave or conventional oven to be heated up.

Meals are provided on a contribution basis. There is no set fee or charge for a meal.

A suggested contribution for Title III meals is $3.50 per meal.

Cash, checks and food stamp vouchers are accepted.

Criteria to Receive Title III Home Delivered Meals:

  1. Be at least 60 years of age or be enrolled as a CHOICE or Medicaid Waiver client and be living in the community.
  2. Be unable to leave home to attend a congregate meal site because of a physical or mental impairment, isolation, or having no transportation available.
  3. Be unable to prepare meals for yourself or not have facilities to prepare meals.
  4. The provision of a home delivered meal is the most cost effective method of delivering a nutritionally adequate meal.
  5. Be willing to participate in an assessment for in home services including a release of information to SWIRCA & More Case Management.
