They're left waiting for a nutritious meal, a friendly face, and a moment of connection with someone who cares. We need your help to End the Wait™ and ensure that every senior who needs our services in Southwestern Indiana gets it.
For many homebound seniors, their Meals on Wheels volunteer could be the only person they see all week. While the most cherished holiday traditions involve seeing family, friends and eating meals together, many seniors will spend this season alone, wondering when or if their next meal will come.
Together, we can ensure there are less silent nights for seniors in need.

SWIRCA & More and Meals on Wheels Southwestern Indiana work hard every day to try to reduce senior hunger and isolation in our community. But right now, a growing senior population, insufficient federal funding, and recent historic cuts to Medicaid and SNAP pose risks to how funding gets distributed, meals get delivered, and seniors get the help they need to stay healthy and independent at home.

As heating costs rise and temperatures get colder, more dangerous weather forces seniors to stay inside. Those suffering silently behind closed doors have an impossible choice between eating and paying utility bills. You can help them this holiday season by providing a hot meal, so they don't have to make those tough choices.
When you purchase or lease a new Subaru between November 20, 2025, and January 2, 2026, you can select Meals on Wheels America as your charity of choice. Subaru and its retailers will donate a minimum of $300 in your honor to help deliver meals and companionship to homebound seniors nationwide at no cost to you.
You’ll also be given the opportunity to support the local Meals on Wheels provider in your community.
