SWIRCA & More prepares, cooks, and distributes more than 500 lunch site and home-delivered meals each weekday from our own kitchen.
Our Home Delivered Meal Program provides hot, nutritious meals Monday- Friday during the noon hour to eligible older adults in Vanderburgh, Posey, Warrick, Perry, Spencer, and Gibson counties.
Meals are delivered across nine home-delivery routes, helping individuals who may have difficulty shopping for groceries or preparing meals on their own. In addition to providing nutritious food, each delivery offers a friendly connection and an added measure of support for older adults who want to remain healthy and independent at home.
Home-delivered meals are packaged in convenient, film-top trays that can be safely reheated in a microwave or conventional oven.
Meals are provided on a contribution basis, meaning there is no set fee or charge to receive a meal. For individuals receiving meals through Title III of the Older Americans Act, the suggested contribution is $4.00 per meal. No eligible individual will be denied a meal because they are unable or choose not to contribute.
Contributions help SWIRCA continue providing nutritious meals to older adults throughout Southwestern Indiana. Cash, checks, and SNAP benefits are accepted.
