SWIRCA's Activity and Wellness Center offers daily recreational, educational, and wellness activities and is the primary location for all programs and events offered for area residents 50+.
Open Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

All exercise classes are taught by certified instructors and range from low to moderate impact. Also, join us on our day trips or travel with us to magnificent destinations (additional fees apply).

The Randall K. Craig Wellness Center

The Randall K. Craig Wellness Center

The Randall K. Wellness Center provides a low-cost exercise room for seniors to receive additional fitness training, enhance muscle strength and stability, and meet personal wellness goals. Seniors can also monitor their blood pressure by utilizing SWIRCA's free blood pressure machine.

Open Monday – Friday  8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  • Offers Treadmills, Stationary Bicycle and Recumbent Bicycles
  • Closed while classes are occuring in the exercise room. Call ahead for information.

You can become an Activity Center member for a suggested donation of $30 a year. Scholarships are available - just ask when you arrive. Membership forms are available at the link below or in the SWIRCA & More Activity Center lobby. Forms can be dropped off or mailed to the following address:

Exercise Class Descriptions

ARTHRITIS
Although not exclusive to those with arthritis, these exercises are designed by the Arthritis Foundation and focus on daily living range of motion movements. This is a great place to get back into exercise or to maintain health.

BALANCE WITH BRENDA
Fall prevention is very important for maintaining independence. This low-impact class directs you through various balancing exercises to strengthen muscles, enhance mobility and improve spatial awareness.

CHAIR YOGA
Chair Yoga makes the practice of yoga accessible for those of all physical abilities and ages. The 45-minute class incorporates the fundamentals of the yoga practice. The magic of this class is that it is designed to meet the need of any yoga practitioner seasoned or beginner.

DRUMS ALIVE
Drums Alive® is a research and evidence-based program that applies fitness, drumming, music, movement, and cognition to improve motivation and fitness adherence for all ages and abilities. 

EXERCISE WITH EVA
This class focuses on stretching, flexibility, balance, low impact aerobics, and strength training. Wrist and Ankle weights provided.

LINE DANCING
A low-impact but extremely fun activity that offers physical and mental health benefits, including improved balance, flexibility, and brain function.

STRETCH & Tone
The stretch and tone class incorporates the use of hand weights, Therabands, endurance, and balance training into this 45 minute class.

TAI CHI
Tai Chi is a mind-body exercise that was first used by Chinese monks to improve concentration and physical well-being.  Tai Chi includes low impact aerobics that combines breathing exercises with slow gentle movements.  Tai Chi is also a great way to work on balance and coordination.

YOGA
This class is a gentle form of yoga offering poses for those who can stand on their own and get to and from the floor safely.
