About SWIRCA & More

Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging (SWIRCA & More) is a nonprofit, 501(c)3, public service organization serving older adults, those living with disabilities at any age, and their caregivers in Southwestern Indiana.

We are Indiana’s fifth largest Area Agency on Aging (AAA), serving Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Perry, and Spencer counties. SWIRCA is not a health care provider or government agency, but as a local service organization, we provide a holistic response to the immediate needs of seniors in our community.

SWIRCA offers four key program areas, which have been strengthened for more than 50 years, to help individuals age independently at home with better care, improved health outcomes, and at a lower cost than in an institutional setting. Those programs include:

  • Options Counseling
  • Nutrition
  • Educational and Wellness Activities, and
  • Care Management

Mission

Building stronger, age friendly communities where individuals can thrive with independence, dignity and support.

Vision

A future where individuals, regardless of age or ability, are embraced with opportunities for independence and celebrated within a compassionate community.
